It was meant to be a fashion show —
it became a hymn to life.
On the eve of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women,
with national restrictions cancelling every public event,
Laura Milan refused to give in.
She chose the Teatro Comunale in Thiene, a town near Vicenza,
as the stage to launch her 2020–2021 collection through a video.
For the first time, the collection included menswear.
Special guest: Diego Dalla Palma,
who said of Laura:
“It was love at first sight —
seeing the respect, the democratic spirit, the intelligence,
beauty, elegance and refinement
with which she treats women — and men — through her creations.”
The video, directed and filmed by Youssef DaLima,
was transformed into a short film
and selected for the 2021 Venice Film Festival.
